The Freeport Tavern and Eatery

We love being a place for people to get together. If you are looking for a venue for your rehearsal dinner or drinks the night before, the wedding reception, the day after debrief or anything in between, we can provide the space and flexibility you need to ensure your group has a fantastic time.

We have a range of options for groups of any size up to 150 from exclusive use of our courtyard to whole venue hire. The set up of the seating is flexible and can be arranged to suit your needs.

With dedicated service, the option of your own music and entertainment, choices of set menus, sharing dishes or our everyday menu and televisions in all of our spaces available to play photo slide shows or videos. – We have you covered for all your wedding needs.

The hero of our menu is Pizza, we have a large Oven all the way from the states. Based on the traditional Napoli style pizza found in Southern Italy, the dough at The Freeport is made from just a few ingredients. It’s then rested for 96 hours before it’s hand stretched, oven fired and topped with fresh ingredients—think prosciutto, rocket and pecorino. The results are pretty delicious. We don’t just do pizza though, there are wide range of options that cater for all including vegan and gluten free. The head chef has worked under Heston Blumenthal in London, so you know the food is going to be good.

The Yard – A flexible space suitable for any event which boasts a retractable roof and direct access to the bar. As the space is separate from the main restaurant and bar having a DJ or music player separate to our background music can be an option to create exactly the atmosphere you are looking for.

Main Restaurant – exclusive use of the bar section of the main restaurant is perfect for larger group. It has a mixture of seated high bars and low booth tables to cater for all as well as direct bar access. This is a large space so plenty of room circulate amongst your guests. We have a large projector screen in this area (150inch) which is available as part of the hireage of this space.

Dining – This is space separate from the main bar area perfect for seated or cocktail groups, with a mixture of high and low seating. Our more intimate birthdays and get togethers really enjoy this space.

Whole Venue – the exclusive use of the entire venue can be available for large groups. We can be very flexible with exclusive use and would love to discuss your requirements.
