Lake Hawea View, a unique and stunning 25 acre property, sits crested above candescent Lake Hawea, deep in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The properties out-look is the epitome of dramatic and breath taking landscapes. The large stone and cedar clad homestead is architecturally crafted to capture both lake and mountain vistas from the kitchen, dining and outdoor living areas. Hosting your wedding at this special retreat will be an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.

The property doubles as your venue and accommodation where the main house and adjacent guest house combined sleeps 12 people making it the perfect base to prepare for your event whilst enjoying quality time with your friends and family.

The groomed lawn sprawls out towards Lake Hawea and the Southern Alps making it the perfect space for your wedding ceremony or other outdoor element of any event. The venues space offers flexibility in terms of allowing you to design and set up your dream event as you have always envisioned. Picture alfresco dining, out-door dance floor dotted with festoon lights floating in the night sky above, a Swedish Nordic Tipi or a transparent marquee, boutique food trucks, lawn games and more.

The main dining hall is the largest room at the property and can cater for a maximum of 40 guests seated for dinner. To seat between 40 and 100 guests for dining, a Marquee or Tipi structure will need to be hired and erected.

Lake Hawea View has a 3-night minimum stay attached to all events and a dedicated support person will be your point of contact for all event related elements to assist with the smooth organisation of your event. You will have the ability to contract suppliers (e.g. caterers, bands etc) onto the property and we can provide excellent local supplier recommendations to suit your needs and vision. Site visits will be available upon request and subject to availability (i.e. when property is vacant). You will get full use of our extensive complimentary event supplies as well as access to our product hire catalogue, for any additional venue-styling and infrastructure related items such as furniture, marquees etc that may be desired.
