A family-owned business founded in sunny Nelson in 2014, at Gelato Roma, we produce authentic artisan gelato and sorbet using the amazing natural produce New Zealand has to offer.

With our central philosophy being ‘simple and fresh’, we never cut corners and use pre-mixed powders or juice from concentrate. Instead, we look to our beautiful local region for the very best natural ingredients, including creamy unhomogenized whole milk, fresh seasonal fruits and berries, and the crunchiest, tastiest nuts. Yum!

Since we launched in 2014, we’ve been attending lots of weddings around Nelson, serving our gelato and sorbet to happy guests. And now, since opening our gelato café in the heart of Nelson at the start of 2018, we’ve attracted even more interest from brides and grooms-to-be who come here on holiday and want Gelato Roma at their weddings too. So, with the help of our mobile carts and trailers dotted throughout NZ, we’ve started spreading the Gelato Roma goodness at weddings up and down the country.

We absolutely love it, and we’ve had nothing but praise from guests and happy couples who like the casual, classy and yummy European vibe we bring to the event.
